How to Apply – What all prospective students in Stockholm should know
By: Stockholms Akademiska Forum
Sweden has an online centralized admission system called Universityadmissions.se. However, programs and courses are presented in more detail at the universities’ own official webpages.
How to apply
1. Find your program or course at the university website. If you need some inspiration, check out our list of all 18 universities and higher education institutions in Stockholm.
2. Go to Universityadmissions.se and follow the instructions on how to apply.
Application, scholarships, requirements and student fees
In most cases, applications to Swedish universities are made at Universityadmissions.se. There you create a personal account to manage your application(s). The website is also a source of information about scholarships, requirements, student fees and other important study related subjects for international students. Again, the universities’ own official webpages typically present more detailed info regarding programs and courses, such as student fees and specific requirements.
In some cases, the central admission system at Universityadmissions.se may not have all the necessary information. Don’t miss out on opportunities – contact Universityadmissions.se for questions about admissions, and the university you want to apply to for more information about their programs and courses. Also, note that not all of Stockholm’s universities offer programs and courses in English for international students.
Throughout the process, check for instructions regarding your documentation regularly, from submission of your application until you receive your result of admission. You can do this through your personal account at Universityadmissions.se.
Please note that the application deadline date differs depending on if you come from a EU/EES country or from a non-EU/EES country.
