ICEF webinar features Stockholm Academic Forum

Stockholm Academic Forum is delighted to be a part of ICEF’s (International Consultants for Education and Fairs) upcoming webinar on 16 September, with the theme – ‘The promotion of cities as study destinations.’

The symposium, which features representatives from four leading Destination Marketing Organisations (DMOs) – Stockholm, Buenos Aires, Sydney and Montreal – aims to locate the best ways to reposition academic destinations in the backdrop of the global pandemic, and underscore the importance of international students not only as active contributors to the knowledge base and cultural fabric of the destination country, but also as engaged participants in the economy and lifelong ambassadors to the institutions that they attend.

In this context, Maria Fogelström Kylberg, the CEO of Stockholm Academic Forum, will talk about ‘Study in Stockholm’ – a student-centric initiative, which identifies that the most effective way of communicating with the international student community is the creation and curation of content by international students themselves. This is achieved through endeavours such as guest editorship and authorship, podcast hosting, as well as film and image production – all done by international students, and therefore, always topical and relevant.
