Looking back – Stockholm Explorative Talks 2019 and 2018
In 2019, the appointed curators, Karina Ericsson Wärn and Micael Dahlen used imagination to step into new and different roles as a way of pushing disciplinary borders and reaching new insights. A number of carefully selected scholars from different disciplines and from different universities in Stockholm, was pushed to challenge themselves and each other to try ideas and solve problems in creative ways.
What happens to a scientific conversation when imagination helps a researcher to change perspective? This was something that was investigated during the very first Stockholm Explorative Talks in 2018, at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. The appointed curators Moira von Wright and Micael Dahlen led the conversation, with the extended task of actually staging it, challenge academic borders, and explore where meetings between scholars from different disciplines can reach with unconventional methods.
