During the weekends of 18-19 and 26-27 August, 1200 new international students were welcomed at Arlanda Airport by Stockholm Student Arrival Service. The students were received by about 30 student guides and were offered a free bus ride to the central City Terminal, KTH and Stockholm University.

Once on the bus, the new students received a welcome gift, a goodie bag including a SIM card, to be able to quickly contact family and find information. It was the ninth time that Stockholm Student Arrival Service was arranged since its start in 2014. Stockholm Student Arrival Service is an initiative from Stockholm Academic Forum together with the universities in Stockholm and Stockholm City.
