Let’s move beyond the usual patterns and methods of academic inquiry and discourse!

The questions and ideas surrounding the movement of people, ideas, and goods stretch across many disciplines and sectors; how we try to answer these complex questions will shape our world for generations to come.

At this edition of Stockholm Explorative Talks, Christina Neofytou will curate an exploration of the theme, ‘Movement’, trying to locate intersecting ideas and insights.

Zaheer Allam, Aku Kwamie, Nader El-Bizri, and Livia Tomova – who we call The Explorers – will engage each other in an interaction that will see them exchange interdisciplinary perspectives on present issues. We welcome these scholars to Stockholm from different corners of the world as the honorary guests of World Academic Forum Stockholm Summit 2022.

Stockholm Explorative Talks is a stage for academic discussions confronting global problems with an interdisciplinary approach, by pairing unlikely academics together. We welcome experts from all over the world for a dialogue best described as dedicated, courageous, and surprising. The aim is to gather the world’s bright brains to examine current issues from new angles, and to find creative solutions to common future challenges.

To make the discussion freewheeling and encourage spontaneous ideas, The Explorers come unrehearsed and meet each other for the first time on stage!
