Anna Maria Jönsson is deputy vice-chancellor with focus on research issues at Södertörn University. She is a Professor of Media and Communication Studies and has extensive experience in interdisciplinary research about environmental and science communication with a particular focus on journalism, as well as public participation in media (and recently mainly the challenges and perspectives of digital media and new forms of citizen engagement). Jönsson also has wide experience of research about media structure and politics as well as public knowledge about and trust in science. With a particular interest in science and research communication, she has cooperated for several years with the organization Public & Science.
